We work in these three specific areas because, more often than not, organisations are using these technologies as the basis for building complex enterprise solutions.
Java EE (JEE) is the foundation technology in most of our projects. Widely used by developers, the Java platform is used to build scalable, fault-tolerant systems and to develop flexible, enterprise-grade products. That’s why most commonly you’ll find enterprise class systems written in Java.
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in an architecture style, promoting the reuse of services at a business rather than technology level. The main advantage of this approach promises to be the increased agility with which an organisation can react to market forces by implementing new business offerings.
Over the last few years, SOA has become the most common approach for enterprise wide integration and as a result Qubit has invested much time and effort in the approach, products and services that support this architectural style.
Identity and Access Management (IDAM) on the other hand solves a more specific enterprise wide problem. That is, ensuring that the right people get access to the right things at the right time, and, making sure you can prove this is that case now and has been in the past.
At Qubit, we see ourselves as the people who can bring these three powerful components together, ensuring that they work harmoniously across mission-critical systems.
Qubit’s SOA team covers a wide range of topics relating to architecture, product implementation, governance, readiness assessments, and blue prints. The team itself has its origins in Sun’s early thought leadership in SOA complimented by many years of practical implementation.
Our team is lead by ZapThink trained SOA architects and TOGAF trained architects.
We’ll continue to pursue new architectures, technologies and methodologies in this area.
We work predominantly with Oracle’s SOA Suite and Sun’s JCAPS product.
Our capability in this area includes an in-house team of extremely experienced ex-Sun Professional service consultants, as well as people who have come to us with strong Identity and Access management backgrounds.
Our team is experienced in delivering large scale, mission critical deployments with both the Oracle and Sun Identity and Access Management product sets.
The founding members of Qubit were Senior Java Architects at Sun Professional services. So, it should come as no surprise that complex Enterprise Java projects are a core part of what we do.
We have all the tools needed to take a balanced approach. All too often, we see integration vendors taking either a product only path or a coding only path that can lead to problems later.
