Qubit Consulting was formed in 2005 to provide integration solutions in the areas of new and emerging technologies. Qubit has now grown to 15 people, delivering millions of dollars worth of services a year.
We have over 25 years of experience in project management, risk assessment and programming and systems integration, with a focus on project delivery and consulting. And that word ‘delivery’ is for us the most important one. Ultimately, nothing else matters.
Over the last few years, we’ve successfully recruited senior people, many who were previously senior software architects at Sun Microsystems. This senior team delivers complex projects that are critical to the successful operations of our clients, with confidence and certainty.
And we think it’s our deep experience that marks us out, because it gives our clients the assurance that their project is with a ‘safe pair of hands’ (often where others have failed), a claim supported by the fact that half of our new engagements come from clients who have already tried to deliver a complex project, failed, and have invited us to in to solve the problem.
John has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, in Australia and the UK. Prior to Qubit, he worked for Sun in a number of senior technical leadership roles.
John’s last position at Sun was that of the Australia and New Zealand software CTO in the Client Solutions Organisation. He worked in sales and delivery, focusing specifically on SOA-related activities. He was also a Sun Enterprise Architect, providing architectural leadership on a number of projects. He also joined Sun’s Java Centre and acted as a Senior Java Architect for four years.
Andrew has over 16 years of experience in software development, working in industries such as banking, telecommunications and government. For the last 10 years he has worked as an Enterprise Architect specialising in solutions for the JEE (Java Enterprise Edition) platforms
Before Qubit, Andrew worked as a freelance architect for clients such as the RTA of NSW, CUSCAL, MLC and Tourism Australia. He was employed in the Sun Microsystems Java Centre as a Senior Java Architect and Evangelist, developing IT strategy for government departments such as the SA Police and the WA Department of Finance, as well as leading projects for companies such as Qantas, Vodafone and Hutchison Telecoms.
